Kaya super thankful uli ang lolah nyo sa bumubuo ng Famas, sa mga kaibigan, sa press people, sa mga boylets na hindi nagsamantala sa kanyang kahinaan, sa mga sponsors na walang sawang nagsu-supply ng relief - in cash and in kind, sa mga followers at readers na keribels lang ang pagkabaliw ng inyong lingkod and to my pay-rents who until now ay hindi alam na dalawa ang daughters nila. Chos.

Couching Snow Leopard, Hidden Lion Katol

For today, I will do away muna sa mga social relevant issues na usually topic ng aking blog.

I know, that is sooo not me.

'Coz I really need some help.

Nope, this is not about the donations I blogged about yesterday - remember, the 'liquid-form' thingy.

But since I mentioned that na rin, I want everyone to know na tumatanggap pa po tayo ng donations.

Kasi, marami palang baklang binaha kaya ishi-share ko sa kanila ang inyong donasyon. Dumating sila kanina sa tapat ng balur ko na naka-nganga. Haller! Eh wala pa nga akong napipiga kahit isa 'noh. Char.

Uu, pati ang Inang Higad na si Bien na naka-base sa Singapore ay nakiki-amot ng donasyon. Kahit frozen daw.

Pwes, igagawa ko sya ng ice candy na milk of human kindness flavor. Pero yung ice candy, sinlaki ng yelo na nabibili sa kapitbahay. Tingnan natin kung hindi mag-lock jaw ang lolah nyo.

Okey, okey, okey. Now let me begin with my original blog entry for today.

For Mac users, I'm sure na alam ninyo na Apple recently launched their latest Operating System (OS) na LION OSX.

Currently, my OS is Snow Leopard.

The new Lion OSX has added new features which convinced me naman to upgrade. And I know eventually, I have to. So I might as well do it now.

Teka, kailan kaya magkakaroon ng Cougar OSX, may pagbibigyan lang aketch. Hihihi!

Heniwey, unlike sa mga previous OS ng Apple, walang tangible CD na ibibigay sa 'yo.

Ang upgrading ginagawa on-line.

So, using your Apple account, buysung ka lang sa Mac App Store.

29.99 USD.

Hongdali devah?

Hindeeee!!!!

Three days ago pa akez bumili.

At yesterday, habang sini-celebrate ko ang ika-14 hours ng downloading ko, biglang nawala yung icon. Bigla na lang nag-stop mag-download!

Punyemas talaga!

14 hours ko na syang dina-download for 2 days (pause/resume pag umuuwi na ako sa balur) at halos 1/8 pa lang ng 3.5gb ang nada-download ko tapos biglang nawala pa!

Anu itey, back to zero?!?

Uu.

So off I went to Power Mac Trinoma para humingi ng saklolo.

Impeyrness, cute yung isang technical guy don. Hihihi!

Pero hindi ko na nagawang lumandeh.

Char.

Kaso sabi nila, ganun daw talaga. Mas okey daw sana kung LAN connection instead na Wi-Fi.

And based sa record daw nila, the fastest na mada-download ang bagong OS ay 3.5hours.

3.5 hours?

Homaygashhh!

Ang dami ko ng nagawa non sa Baclaran Cinema sa ganung kahabang oras noh! Kung si Friendship 'yon malamang na-chorva na nya lahat ng naka-upo sa orchestra section.

Ako mga 3 lang. Ganyan.

Hihihi!

Na-mention nya kasi na 48 years daw ang downloading.

So kanina, try ko uli mag-download.

This time LAN connection na.

Pero since hindi naman ganun kabilis ang internet dito sa opis, ayun, napakabagal pa rin.

I started downloading ng 8:30 am.

12:30 na ng tanghali.

Heto pa lang sya.

Haaaayyyy!

Frustrated na kooo!

So I need your help, your suggestions.

Saan ba may internet shop na high-speed ang connection at pwede ang LAN or super-bilis ang Wi-Fi?

Yun na ring maraming college boylet students na tumatambay.

Hihihi!

Help pleaseeeee!

By the way, ang makakatulong sa akin ay ipapa-lapa ko ng 4-sessions sa Fitness First...

Usapang Gadgets

Hindi nman talaga Techie Agbayani ang lolah nyo. Nagti-Techie-techiehan lang. Hahaha! Pero enjoy ako sa mga gamit ko.

I have some tips and recommendations dun sa mga nagpa-plano mag-pundar ng kanilang gadgets.

Below ang unang set of gadgets kow. How jurassic devah.

Hereunder naman ang bagong collection ng inyong lolah. Pic was taken about a few months ago. Hindi pa na-update:

Anyway, if you are to invest on a laptop, i would HIGHLY recommend a MacBook. Specifically a MacBook Pro.

Prior to having a Mac, i was using a Sony Vaio and I was not very happy. Hindi nya na-meet ang expectations ko. Char. Almost all my problems with Window-based laptops were eliminated after i shifted to a MacBook.

Sabi nga nila, "Once you go Mac, you'll never go back."

Si Dexter nga hindi kasya ang pera nya to buy a brand new MacBook pero he decided to purchase na lang a second-hand and he said he is very happy with his decision.

Si Friendship, nag-brand new Gateway, so far suki na sya ng service center. Choz.

And ang after-sales ng Mac.... wow!

Well, this is based on my experience with PowerMac Center-Greenbelt.

Ok, watch out before you even buy a MacBook, they usually give discounts during their anniversaries. Sa PowerMac i remember they gave 15% discount nung anniversary sila.

If you have a DSLR naman, i would recommend na you buy a Crumpler Industry Disgrace neck strap.

Pramis, hindi sasakit ang leeg nyo kahit ilang oras pang nakasabit ang DSLR sa leeg nyo. Sobrang comfy at stylish ng strap. If i remember it correctly, nasa P1,500.00 or less ang price nya.

If you are thinking of buying your first DSLR naman, mag-canvass ka muna. It's usually cheaper sa Hidalgo (Quiapo) compared sa prices sa mga mall. You'll probably save 10-15%.

If you know naman someone from Singapore, dun ka magpatanong. I bought one of my lens sa SG and i was able to save at least 20%. Tapos may refund pa ang tax. Winnur devah?

But, i bought my first DSLR from Dave of DB Gadgets . Nung una, hesitant akong bumili sa kanya pero a friend told me na i can trust this guy so ayun, sa kanya ako bumili. And i was able to get my first DSLR with substantial savings from Dave na nga. I am happy with my purchase at wala namang naging problema. Dave also sell other gadgets like cellphones, iPods, gaming consoles, digital cameras etc. Just go visit his site. ;)

Pero we all know naman na cellphone is a must for all of us. But if you are to buy your first or second phone, i suggest that you also compare prices.

Kung gusto mong malaman ang presyo o price range ng cellphones sa Greenhills without going there, go visit Greenhills Cellphone Galore. O devah, vaklang vakla ang namesung. Galore kung galore!

And then, you can also compare the price of a specific model to DB Gadgets.

Tapos, a very good friend of mine recommended this naman to me. She buys her mobile phones from them. And take note, aside from being cheaper, may ZERO percent installment pah! O, san ka pah. Go visit CMK Cellphones.
